Location: Swindon - Kingfisher Drive Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, Early or Late Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Early) OR 3:00 PM - 10:45 PM (Late)

The Role: General Operative

As a General Operative, you will be essential to the smooth and compliant running of production areas. You will be supported in gaining and maintaining a Bronze License Badge for production area access, demonstrating your commitment to high standards.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Adhering to correct gowning and cleaning procedures for non-aseptic and aseptic filling lines.
  • Preparing cleaning solutions and performing cleaning regimes as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assisting with material handling and transfer into classified areas.
  • Ensuring stocks required for production are maintained and within expiry date.
  • Performing cleaning and maintenance of equipment and areas to SOPs, cGMP, and pharmaceutical industry regulatory standards.
  • Operating airlocks, and upon training, assisting with Part Washer and Autoclave loading.
  • Performing duties associated with line end run-off, packaging, labelling, and in-process weight checks.
  • Communicating any non-conformance's to the Area Leader, Manager, or Quality Assurance representatives immediately.
  • Once fully Bronze qualified, conducting environmental monitoring in classified areas in accordance with procedures.
  • Completing all documentation in adherence to Data Integrity principles and training.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Education: Math's GCSE and English (Grade C or Above) OR evidence of basic Numeracy (to understand arithmetic) and the ability to read and interpret complex work instructions.
  • Experience: Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., Pharmaceuticals, Food, Automotive, Make-Up, or Engineering).
Desirable Experience:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Soft Skills:
  • Attention to detail is paramount.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and production schedules.
  • Ability to stay focused and concentrate despite repetitive tasks.
  • Methodical approach to work.
  • Has a quality approach with a patient-first mindset.
  • Dexterity.
  • Physically fit (able to lift 15kg and stand for sustained periods, with reasonable adjustments).
