Southdale Primary School and ELC is a non-denominational school serving the village of Armadale. We are seeking an enthuiastic Pupil Support Worker to join the support team, to provide a high standard of support to classes, groups and / or individual pupils in order to ensure effective learning and teaching experiences which meet the needs of all our children.
The school is currently staffed by the Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher, Principal Teacher and has 11 classes. The school is supported effectively by a small team of Pupil Support Workers, who assist pupils across the school. The hours of work are
Mon – 8.00am – 3.00pm (ELC)
Tues – 9.00am – 3.00pm (School)
Wed – 9.00am – 3.00pm (School)
Thurs – 9.00am – 3.00pm (school)
Fri – 9.00am – 12.30pm (school)
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
