Summary


The following post has become available within KMPT for a dynamic, self-motivated, forward thinking Administrator. The position will be within the Ashford & Canterbury Mental Health Together (MHT) administration team, based at Laurel House, Canterbury for 30 hours per week, and will provide full secretarial and administrative support to a multi-disciplinary team.



The post holder will be educated to grade C or above GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent, and possess an NVQ Level 3/RSA3 or equivalent.



This post is subject to a six month probationary period.



Prior to interview you will be required to undertake numeracy, literacy and Trust values tests.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent organisational and keyboard skills, be a competent audio typist, and possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. They will also pay close attention to detail, be able to work to tight deadlines, be adaptable to changing/challenging situations and able to manage and prioritise their own work efficiently.

High-quality admin services are vital for ensuring the smooth running of our service; you can expect your days to be full of variety and challenge - some of the responsibilities for the role are listed below:
• Daily opening of post, date stamping and despatch
• Answering of telephone calls
• Data entry e.g. inputting of information such as new referrals, results of tests or questionnaires
• Checks relevant systems e.g. RiO for clinic appointment lists
• Liaising with other internal departments
• Photocopying
• Preparation of variety of documents and correspondence
• Printing information in spreadsheet or report format as required
• Likely to process confidential information
• Laminating of posters or reports and binding as appropriate
• Booking of appointments
• Arranging meetings and events
• Diary management
• Ordering of stationery and other supplies
• Supervision of band 2 Administration Assistant
• Minuting meetings
