Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons across all Key Stage 1 subjects.
- Create a stimulating, safe, and engaging classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour and pupil well-being.
- Assess, monitor, and report on the progress and attainment of all pupils, identifying and implementing appropriate interventions where necessary.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and the wider school community to share best practice and contribute to school improvement.
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding pupil progress, achievements, and well-being.
- Undertake continuous professional development to enhance teaching and subject knowledge.
- Contribute to the school's enrichment programme (e.g., after-school clubs, school events).
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1.
- A deep understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- A genuinely warm, patient, and energetic approach to teaching young children.
- The ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a classroom of diverse learners effectively.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A proactive and reflective practitioner who is keen to contribute positively to the whole school.
- Experience in using phonics programmes (e.g., Letters and Sounds, Read Write Inc.) is highly desirable.
