Summary

Veterinary Surgeon – Bradford

Rare opportunity to join a long-standing, truly independent small animal practice
Genuine progression route to partnership and future ownership
Animal-first environment — no upselling, no targets, and no corporate influence.
Salary up to £65,000 DOE, with an excellent work–life balance and flexible rota

Are you an experienced and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon looking for a role with real stability, autonomy and the chance to put down roots? This independent West Yorkshire practice is looking for the right person to join their small, dedicated team and help shape the future of the practice.

The owner is no longer working clinically but remains fully involved in running the practice and supporting the team. They are committed to finding a capable, kind and efficient Veterinary Surgeon who can work collaboratively with the staff and help maintain the practice’s strong standards. This is a single-site, one-vet practice supported by excellent qualified nurses and a loyal client base. The practice is known for fair pricing, honest advice and genuine continuity of care — values they’re keen to uphold.

This is not a role for someone looking for a quick stop-off. They are looking for a vet who wants to grow with the practice, become part of the team and — after a successful first year — begin the pathway to partnership and eventual practice ownership if desired.

The practice works closely with a local cat charity which offers a rewarding and varied caseload. They also have a brilliant group of locums who will remain in the mix as needed, meaning any new team member will be well supported from day one.

The practice is well equipped with an in-house IDEXX lab, bronchoscope, ultrasound, radiography, a starter orthopaedic kit and much more.

About You
You’ll be a confident, experienced small animal vet who’s comfortable working solo and enjoys collaborating with a supportive team. You’re kind, efficient and looking for a long-term role — someone motivated by the chance to grow with the practice and help shape its future.
