Hays are partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation in Co. Antrim to recruit for a Buyer to join their Supply Chain team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Your new role
In this role, you will take ownership of purchasing a variety of components, materials, and services to support production requirements. You will build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate competitive agreements, and ensure timely delivery to meet operational needs. You will also work extensively with MRP and ERP systems, contribute to planning activities such as SIOP and RCCP, and play a part in supplier evaluations and new product introduction projects.
What you'll need to succeed
- At least 3 years' experience in a buying role within a manufacturing setting
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, forecasting, and inventory management
- Hands-on experience with MRP and ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Degree-level qualification or CIPS accreditation (or working towards)
