Summary
Job Purpose
To assist the Senior Catering Assistant and Business & Facilities Manager with the management of the Rendezvous Café, suggesting ideas for improvement for increased business, and leading on the customer experience delivery.
Main Responsibilities
1. To be the premises lead when on duty, looking after the smooth running of the Café, liaising with the catering team, external hirers, and commercial partners.
2. To contribute to achieving the objectives of the team, and to wider Council objectives where possible.
3. Work with and direct Café staff and volunteers in their tasks. Ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to.
4. To meet and greet customers as required, accommodating their needs and handling any complaints.
5. To ensure the cleanliness of the Café facilities and to implement agreed cleaning standards.
6. To promote the principles of customer care, equality, quality management and good health and safety standards.
7. To work flexible hours to facilitate the needs of the job.
8. To provide cover for staff and to supplement the team as required in busy periods.
9. To carry out stock checks of materials/provisions needed and provide the information for ordering.
10. Ensure equipment in the Café & kitchen meets safe operational standards and report any faults or concerns to the management team.
11. To be responsible for the cash till and daily paperwork.
12. To prepare the Café team rotas
13. To undertake other tasks allocated by the Council which are within the competence and capability of pthe ost holder.
