Job Summary

The Induction and Training Coordinator will be responsible for delivering induction training, supporting new Care Assistants through their first 12 weeks and ensuring all onboarding and compliance requirements are met. The role involves maintaining accurate staff files, overseeing DBS applications and coordinating additional training as required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver induction training and assess Care Certificate competencies
• Provide support and mentoring to new staff throughout their induction period
• Arrange and deliver additional training identified through supervision or observation
• Verify ID documents, process Enhanced DBS checks and track completion
• Maintain full staff onboarding compliance and ensure all records are accurate
• Work closely with the Registered Manager to identify training needs
• Promote further professional development, such as QCF Level 2 and 3
• Participate in shared on-call duties as part of a rota

Person Specification

Qualifications and Experience
• Experience working in the care sector
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/Level 4 or above
• Train the Trainer qualifications (Moving and Handling/Medication) desirable
• AET or equivalent teaching qualification desirable
• Experience delivering training or customer-facing services

Skills and Competencies
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt training style to suit different learners
• Competent in handling challenging or complex situations professionally
• Strong IT literacy
