Trainee Service Engineer – Engineering / Filtration Systems

Due to continued growth, the company is expanding its service team and looking for a Trainee Service Engineer..
The Role
You’ll receive comprehensive training to become a fully qualified Service Engineer, working on a wide range of mechanical filtration systems and applications.
Your duties will include:
Servicing, routine maintenance, overhauls, commissioning and training on filtration systems
Producing detailed service reports with recommendations
Building strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and identify upselling opportunities
Preparing quotations and liaising with customers for purchase orders
Managing parts and stock through the company’s ERP system
Assisting with marketing campaigns and service content ideas
Maintaining excellent communication within the team to meet customer needs
Writing risk assessments and method statements for scheduled work
Managing your own work diary, travel, and reporting administration
Providing technical support to the wider engineering team as required
Attending training courses (including international training at the company’s head office in Europe)
Travelling throughout the UK, Ireland, and occasionally overseas – with overnight stays when required
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
A full UK driving licence
Excellent mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in engineering
Strong customer service and communication skills
Good organisational skills and a self-motivated approach
Ideally, some hands-on mechanical or field service experience (or relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering)
