Position: Specialist South Indian Chef De Partie
Employer: Multi National Premium Dining South Indian Restaurant
Location: Birmingham
Gross OTE salary package: circa £37,000 + (incl. share of service charge + targeted bonus)
Weekly working hours/days: 38 to 48 hours within 5 / 6 days
Benefits & Entitlements: 28 days paid holiday (pro rata) incentives, employer’s workplace pension, employee care and wellbeing support + more
You will be responsible for the skilful preparation of authentic South Indian vegetarian dishes, including tiffin items, curries, rice varieties, and regional specialties. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. You’ll also support junior staff through training and supervision.
To qualify for selection, you must have the following minimum requirements: -
Eligibility to live and work in UK
Expertise in preparing dishes such as dosa, idli, vada, sambar, rasam, and other regional specialties
Technical knowledge of ingredient quality, sourcing, measuring & formulation
Industrial training in a world renowned culinary/hospitality institute
Ideal previous experience of at least 3 years in role
Relevant Health & Safety credentials and knowledge of HACCP protocols
Resident within commutable distance of up to one hour
In addition, you should also have the following attributes: -

Leadership qualities
Time Management
Have an eye for detail
Able to work well with others
Creative energetic and passionate about delivering culinary excellence
A hardworking, fastidious and conscientious individual
South health and fitness
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in culinary arts or similar
