Summary
I’m looking for an experienced Electrical QC Inspector to join a well-established engineering manufacturer in Poole. This is a hands-on role within a high-spec marine/defence production environment, carrying out electrical quality checks, inspections, and sign-offs on complex electrical systems.
If you’ve got strong electrical knowledge, a sharp eye for detail, and experience working to IPC/ISO standards, this could be a great long-term move.
What you’ll be doing
- Inspecting electrical installations, looms, harnesses, panels, and assemblies
- Carrying out continuity tests, insulation checks, and functional testing
- Verifying electrical work against engineering drawings and schematics
- Completing sign-off documentation and quality reports
- Ensuring builds meet internal standards and customer specifications
- Supporting production teams with technical queries and fault investigations
- Working closely with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues efficiently
- Maintaining high standards of compliance, safety, and workmanship
What I’m looking for
- Background in marine, aerospace, defence, automotive, or technical manufacturing
- Strong electrical assembly or installation experience
- Experience in quality inspection, testing or sign-off
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, layouts, and technical drawings
- Knowledge of IPC, ISO, or MOD standards would be an advantage
- Confident communicator with a methodical, detail-driven approach
This is an opportunity to join a skilled team working on high-quality electrical systems used in critical environments. You’ll be part of a collaborative, well-structured engineering department where accuracy, pride in workmanship, and a professional attitude are genuinely valued.
