An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital as a Healthcare Support Worker, as a part of our highly experienced and established team in the busy ENT Outpatients Department.
Based in Outpatients West at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital on our modern, purpose-built site this exciting opportunity is more involved than you might expect from an outpatient’s role.
The successful candidate will work within all aspects of the ENT Department including the use of highly specialist equipment. You will also be given the opportunity to assist in Transnasal Oesophagoscopy and other procedures carried out in clinic, such as ear microsuction, head and neck biopsies and scoping.
You will be joining a small and friendly team and will be given plenty of mentoring and support from experienced team members.
There are 2 positions available. One full-time post and one part-time post. The successful candidates will be expected to work their hours over 7 days a week, Monday to Sunday. This will be discussed further at the interview.

• Prepare the clinic environment for the day.
• Involvement in stock maintenance.
• Daily safety checks.
• Assist with procedures undertaken in the department (including ear microsuction, head and neck biopsies and transnasal Oesophagoscopy).
• Participate in audits undertaken in the department.
• Decontamination of nasoendoscopes in clinic.
• Provide patient support and advocacy
