Summary
Humanities Teacher
- Permanent Teaching Opportunity
- Humanities Teacher (Majority History)
- MPS/UPS (Inner London)
- Must hold QTS/PGCE - or be working towards it
- Flexible on start date
- ECTs encouraged to apply
I am working with a secondary school in Ealing to recruit a permanent Humanities Teacher with a strong History specialism. The role will involve teaching predominantly History, with some additional Humanities teaching where appropriate. The school can offer flexible start dates in January 2026, April 2026 or September 2026 and is keen to hear from both ECTs and experienced Humanities teachers.
You will be joining a friendly, collaborative Humanities faculty that includes History, Geography and RE. As a Humanities Teacher, you will mainly teach History across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of A Level teaching for the right candidate, and may also contribute to other Humanities subjects at KS3. The History curriculum is well sequenced and offers pupils a broad understanding of British and world history, with an emphasis on enquiry, critical thinking and evidence-based argument.
The school is looking for a teacher who can bring History to life, engage pupils of all abilities and contribute positively to the wider life of the school. ECTs will receive support through a comprehensive induction and mentoring programme. For more experienced teachers, there may be opportunities for additional responsibility within the faculty, and TLRs may be available for those who can offer leadership in areas such as curriculum, assessment, or enrichment (for example, trips, clubs and events).
If a Humanities Teacher role with a majority History focus in Ealing sounds like the right next step, please contact me for more information. I will talk you through the school's context, expectations and development opportunities, and support you closely with your application and interview preparation
