Summary
Teacher of RE
- Permanent Teaching post
- MPS/UPS
- Flexible start date
- ECTs encouraged to apply
- Must hold QTS/PGCE or be working towards
I am currently recruiting for a permanent RE Teacher on behalf of a diverse, inclusive secondary school in Ealing. The school can offer flexible start dates in January 2026, April 2026 or September 2026 and welcomes applications from both ECTs and experienced RE teachers who are passionate about Religious Education, philosophy and ethics.
As an RE Teacher, you will be part of a supportive Humanities team that values thoughtful discussion, critical thinking and respect for different beliefs and worldviews. You will teach RE across KS3 and KS4, with the potential for KS5 teaching for suitable candidates. The curriculum is broad, covering major world religions, philosophy of religion and contemporary moral issues, and you will be encouraged to shape lessons that help pupils engage with complex ideas in a meaningful and respectful way.
The school is looking for someone who can create a calm, purposeful learning environment and support pupils of all abilities to achieve well in RE. ECTs will be supported through a comprehensive induction, regular mentoring and access to high-quality professional development. For more experienced teachers, there may be scope for additional responsibility within RE or Humanities, with TLRs potentially available for those who can contribute to curriculum development, enrichment or pastoral leadership.
If an RE Teacher role in Ealing with a flexible 2026 start date sounds of interest, please contact me to discuss your background and what you are looking for next. I will provide you with detailed information about the school, its ethos and expectations, and support you with crafting your application and preparing for interview.
