Our Engineering team is agile, collaborative, and deeply invested in delivering secure, scalable solutions. You’ll be part of the Run & Operate Chapter, working within the DevSecOps Squad — a group responsible for the infrastructure and tooling that powers Tesco Mobile’s engineering systems.
While your focus will be Azure cloud security, you’ll also collaborate with DevOps engineers, automation specialists, and platform experts to ensure our environments are secure, resilient, and future-ready.
You will be responsible for
We will be looking for you to lead efforts to secure our cloud infrastructure, improve visibility through logging and SIEM, and embed security into our development lifecycle.
- Define and evolve Azure infrastructure security standards
- Act as an authority in cloud security
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance logging and observability
- Validate infrastructure changes against security guidelines
- Work with the Cyber Security Team to align on strategy and compliance
- Advocate for security improvements with clear, business-focused communication
- Support DevOps initiatives including CI/CD pipeline security and automation
You will need
Essential skills & experience:
- Proven experience in cloud security operations (Azure)
- Strong understanding of Azure Security Hub and posture management tools
- Automation skills using PowerShell or Azure CLI
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform)
- Experience with SIEM tools and log management
- CI/CD pipeline security integration
- SAST and secure coding practices
- A collaborative attitude and eagerness to learn
Bonus skills:
- Exposure to AWS environments
- GitHub & GitHub Actions
- Splunk (data streams, dashboards, ingestion)
- Python, AWS CLI, and other automation tools
- Docker and Kubernetes
