SEN Teaching Assistant All-Through School in Lewisham

We are seeking a confident, caring, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of additional needs across primary and secondary phases.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils from EYFS through to KS4. Working closely with teaching staff and the SENCO, you'll help implement personalised strategies that enable students with SEND to access learning, grow in confidence, and build positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a variety of SEN needs.
Assist in planning and delivering targeted interventions aligned with EHCPs.
Promote independence, wellbeing, and engagement throughout the school day.
Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and external specialists.
Record and monitor pupil progress for SEN reviews and meetings.
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Support with personal care when required, ensuring dignity and respect.
About You
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN in a school or educational setting.
A patient, positive, and proactive approach to behaviour and engagement.
Strong understanding of SEND such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with staff, students, and families.
Experience with personal care (desirable but not essential).
Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA or SEND-specific training) are advantageous.
Please note: pay range is based on employment through an umbrella company.
