Summary

Newstaff Employment Services is recruiting for a Plant Hire Controller and Commercial Assistant to join a successful Plant Hire business.

The role will be 3-4 days a week hybrid/remore working with a meet up in St Albans/Rebourn once a week.

You will be responsinble for coordinating the hire of plant machinery and equipment to the company's clients, ensuring the smooth operation from initial enquiry through to delivery, collection and invoicing.

Essential Requirements:

    • Ideally you will have at least one year's experience in plant hire, construction, logistics or similar.
    • Must have strong administration and customer service skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organiser with the ability to multi-task
    • IT literate MS Office
    • Hire management software knowledge ideal
    • Attention to detail

    The Role:

      • You will be managing the day to day plant hire operation, processing contracts, equipment allocation and scheduling.
      • Dealing with customer queries and providing quotes and advising on suitable equipment depending on need.
      • Coordinating logistics with drivers and yard staff.
      • Maintaining accurate records
      • Liaising with suppliers and monitoring fleet availability
      • All other tasks as required

      Monday to Friday (Hybrid role)

      Salary: £30,000 pa to £34,000 pa + company pension, on site parking
