Summary

Senior Residential Support Worker (OFSTED Children's Residential Home)

Salary package of £31,000 - £33,000 excluding sleep-in allowance (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:

Our client is looking for a committed and resilient Senior Residential Support Worker to play a key role in supporting young people with EBD at their children's home located in Hertfordshire (HP3). You will act as a role model and take the lead in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care.

Candidate will possess a good understanding of OFSTED regulations and compliance requirements, along with experience of working at a children's home.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide direct care and support to children and young people in line with their individual care plans

- Lead shifts and support the team with guidance, mentoring and supervision

- Promote a safe, nurturing and structured environment

- Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and key working sessions

- Support with staff induction and training

- Ensure safeguarding procedures are consistently followed

Requirements:

- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare - desirable

- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a residential childcare setting

- Strong communication and team leadership skills

- A sound understanding of safeguarding and therapeutic approaches to care

- Full UK driving licence - desirable

Hours:

37.5hrs Full-Time. Shift work including weekends, evenings and nights plus sleep-ins (separate sleep-in rate)
