Role Overview
The successful candidate will teach Chemistry up to A-Level, ensuring engaging and effective lessons that meet curriculum standards. You will foster a positive learning environment and support students in developing strong scientific knowledge and practical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons for students up to A-Level.
Develop and implement schemes of work in line with curriculum requirements.
Assess, record, and report on student progress regularly.
Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages active learning.
Provide academic support and guidance to students as needed.
Participate in departmental meetings, training, and school events.
Requirements
A degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline.
Proven ability to teach Chemistry up to A-Level.
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science education.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
Desirable
Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
Previous experience teaching A-Level Chemistry.
