Summary
Total Social are working with Devon County Council who are looking for an experienced locum Children's Social Worker for their Children Looked After, Corporate Parenting Team in Barnstaple and Tiverton.
We’re looking for an Experienced Social Worker to join our North & Mid team, where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting children and young people in our care.
Working closely with the Team Manager, you’ll help lead the team, provide supervision and mentoring, and contribute to the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
This is a hands-on role with a smaller caseload, allowing you to focus on complex cases and deliver high-quality, in-depth assessments. You’ll be a role model for best practice, sharing your expertise to support colleagues and students, and driving continuous improvement across the team.
Qualifying candidates require at least three years’ post-qualifying experience in direct / permanent employment of an English local authority in children’s services.
