Summary
Total Social are working with Shropshire Council who are looking for an experienced locum Children's Social Worker for their UASC and 16+ Pathways Team.
Cases for unaccompanied asylum seekers, placed predominantly in the West Midlands. Working with 16+ young people, living predominantly in the Shropshire area, but there can be distance driving.
Recording is essential and keeping within timescales, good assessment skills and analysis.
Conflict resolution, working with vulnerable and dysregulated teenagers, who have been through trauma and negative lived experience. CSE knowledge and skills
Return home interviews, building a positive and trusting relationship with the young person. Preparation for supervision, and ensuring supervision is prioritised. Reflection and feedback, seeking direction as and when required.
Qualifying candidates require at least three years’ post-qualifying experience in direct / permanent employment of an English local authority in children’s services.
