Summary

Job Title: Welfare Support Officer

Department: Supreme Facilities Contingency Operations

Reporting to: Cluster Manager

Location: Southampton

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 8 to 12-hour shifts, including days and nights, 7 days a week

Salary: £14.00

Purpose of the Job

Supreme Guarding Services Ltd, an S.I.A Approved contractor, specialises in security solutions, facilities management, catering, and property management within the UK. We value adaptability, collaboration, and commitment.

We are seeking Welfare Support Officers to support accompanied and unaccompanied displaced people in residence, ensuring high-quality care and positive outcomes. Previous experience is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided. The role demands cultural sensitivity, empathy, and commitment to outstanding service.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supporting Service Users (SUs):

Manage check-ins, including registration, public service access, legal support, and room allocation.
Ensure access to healthcare, shops, and support agencies.
Provide educational and training opportunities.
Facilitate social integration through local community groups.
Offer practical and emotional support, addressing safeguarding and welfare concerns.
Monitor and record service user wellbeing, including room checks, meal monitoring, and health and safety checks.

Property Management:

Conduct daily building and service inspections.
Maintain professional boundaries and resilience.

Role Criteria:

Experience or evidence of working with diverse client groups.
Understanding of safeguarding principles.
Excellent communication skills.
Supportive, trustworthy, approachable, and empathetic.
DBS check prior to joining.

Training and Development:

Monitor personal work levels, progress, and development.
Undertake core training and development programs.
Engage in relevant learning according to the Personal Development Plan.
