Job Summary
As a Milling Setter, you will play a crucial role in setting up CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components to exact specifications. You will ensure high levels of quality, efficiency, and accuracy, working with high-performance materials for demanding industries.
Key Responsibilities
Setting and adjusting CNC milling machines to produce precision-engineered components
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models
Selecting appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials
Carrying out first-off inspections to ensure quality standards are met
Troubleshooting machining issues and optimizing machine performance
Collaborating with programmers, operators, and quality engineers to achieve the best results
Ensuring compliance with aerospace and motorsport quality standards
Experience
Proven experience as a CNC Milling Setter in a precision engineering environment
Strong knowledge of 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC machining
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate components
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-performance engineering environment
