APPOINTMENT OF A LUNCHTIME SUPERVISOR

The governors of Parson Cross CE Primary School wish to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor as soon as possible to join our hard-working team. Duties include:

• Supervise children during the lunch break, both in the dining hall and playground, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the dining room, including clearing tables, managing spillages, and encouraging children to eat their meals.
• Organise and lead play activities that encourage positive social interaction and inclusive play.
• Promote good behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy, intervening promptly to minimise disruption and support positive interactions.
• Assist pupils who may need encouragement or support during mealtimes, reporting any concerns to class teachers.
• Support pupils with medical or dietary needs during lunch, ensuring any allergies or special requirements are respected.
• Assist with first aid for minor incidents and report any accidents or concerns in line with school procedures.
• Ensure pupils enter and exit the dining area in an orderly and safe manner.
• Help children tidy up after themselves in the dining area and playground.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability, a positive attitude, and the ability to work as part of a team.
