Job Opportunity As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year. Our Smokefree School Workers deliver awareness assemblies and group work sessions to young people, professionals and parents in schools and other settings around smoking and vaping. You will be working as part of an amazing team at With You, and supporting Change, Grow, Live to deliver the young people's element of the exciting service, Smokefree Lancashire. This role is term-time only and the advertised salary will be pro rata. We offer a starting salary of £25,000, rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, rising to £30,000 per year. Over the week, you will be based in our Preston and Burnley offices, will be out visiting schools and have the opportunity to work from home. As such, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required for this role. Essential Skills We're excited to hear from you if you can evidence: A confident and engaging presenter, with the ability to communicate information to large groups of young people Experience of working with young people and/or a qualification in substance misuse, mental health, psychology, nursing or youth work The ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team, sharing your skills knowledge and experience Good organisational skills to be able to manage your time effectively, prioritising your work and being able to cope with the pressure of competing demands Effective IT skills, able to use different packages and digital media This role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced level DBS and barred lists check.
