We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed candidate to join our school as SEN Learning Support Assistant, providing in class support to students. You will be part of a collaborative and enthusiastic team of support staff, providing exceptional support for learning and teaching at our College in order to provide a world class education for our pupils. The SEND team helps students aged 11-18 access learning in the classroom, and supports students with literacy, numeracy, study and social skills. You may have experience working with young people, having been an LSA before. However you may be returning to work after a career break, a career changer or someone who has never worked in a school setting but who would like to. We put a lot of store in your rapport with young people as well as your experience. The role will include: Providing students with support specified by the teacher and SENCO, and encouraging independence and responsibility for learning and behaviour. Helping students to build self-esteem through positive interactions, praise and encouragement. Assisting with the development and implementation of SEN support plans and personal care programmes. Promoting inclusion throughout the College and establishing positive relationships with students. While we ask you to support our Catholic ethos, being a practising Catholic is not a requirement, we welcome applicants from any background.Interview Date: 8th December 2025Please note that applications will be considered as they are received and you are therefore advised to submit your application as early as possible, as some interviews may take place, and an appointment may be made, before the closing date is reached for these positions.
