We currently have an opening for a reliable and skilled Electrician to join our team, delivering high-quality electrical services across our housing portfolio, working 39 hours per week on a permanent basis. About the role Working as an Electrician in our Property Services team, you’ll carry out a wide range of electrical works. You will mostly be carrying out reactive repairs and maintenance in both domestic voids and occupied properties. The role may occasionally require making good after works, including basic repairs, joinery, or plumbing to restore access areas or finishes. Your work will directly support the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of our tenants. Key responsibilities include: Electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations in homes across our housing stockDiagnosing faults and ensuring timely, effective resolutions.Conducting periodic inspection and testing in line with regulations (depending on experience)Ensuring compliance with the latest electrical safety standardsWorking respectfully in occupied homes, maintaining a professional and courteous approachSupporting void property turnaround to ensure homes are ready for new tenantsParticipating in our on-call rota (currently 1 in every 20 weeks) to respond to emergency repairs What We Are Looking For To be successful in this role, you will have: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)Proven experience in domestic electrical work, ideally within Domestic or Social Housing environmentsStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsAbility to work independently and manage your own workloadCity & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Inspection & Testing - desirable but not essentialExperience working in both void and tenanted propertiesFamiliarity with using mobile job management systems or handheld devicesExcellent communication skills and a respectful approach when working in occupied homesFull UK driving licenceWillingness to participate in the on-call rota (currently 1 in every 20 weeks) What We Offer We believe in supporting our team with the tools and resources they need to succeed.
