The Field Service Engineer Role:
You’ll play a key part in ensuring customers’ systems run smoothly and reliably across your region. Your work will include:
• Carrying out planned service and maintenance visits
• Performing pre-installation checks and completing small installation projects
• Delivering corrective and reactive maintenance when breakdowns occur
• Completing accurate service reports and documentation
• Supporting customer training (internal and external)
• Promoting system improvements and upgrades to maximise uptime
• Working closely with the sales team to support revenue targets
• Travelling across your assigned region and occasionally across the UK
• Potential international travel when required
• Flexibility is essential — some jobs will require overnight stays, weekend work, or night shifts.
What You’ll Bring:
• Experience in mechanical and electrical/electronic service and maintenance
• Hands-on experience with plastics and small power tools
• Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to learn
• Clear communication skills and a confident, customer-focused approach
• Solid IT literacy
• Ability to follow procedures and manage time effectively
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• A full, clean UK driving licence
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
Bonus Skills
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Previous experience in field service engineering
• A-Level or equivalent qualification
