What it's like to work here
Avebury is a complex, and very special place. It is a World Heritage Site covering more than 6,000 years of history. At its heart, is Europe's largest megalithic stone circle which attracts people from all over the world. To help explain the history of this site and share some of the archaeological finds discovered here, there is an on-site museum housed in the former Stables building.

There is also a beautiful, Grade I listed manor house set within a six-acre Edwardian garden. The manor is currently closed following flooding in 2024, but will reopen for Christmas this year before reopening fully with a new visitor offer in spring 2026. This is an exciting time to join Avebury and help shape the future of this intriguing property.

A National Trust shop, the Circles Restaurant, and Cobblestones second-hand bookshop complete the visitor offer, all set within the beautiful village itself and part of the designated World Heritage Site.
