Summary
To effectively manage a caseload of patients providing evidence-based assessment and interventions. Ensuring the physical, psychosocial, behavioural, perceptual, cognitive, sensory and environmental needs of patients, are addressed. To plan and provide physiotherapy in consultation with other colleagues in the interdisciplinary team and to work in a range of settings as appropriate (e.g. patients home, work environment or other community setting) To adopt a patient centred and sensitive approach to therapy, collaborating with patients (and/or carer(s) where appropriate) in all aspects of the therapy process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, reporting). To utilise individual and/or group work skills as appropriate in order to achieve agreed therapeutic goals. To have a specialist knowledge of a variety of conditions including; neurological, orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, care of the elderly, respiratory and falls To assist in the quality and activity monitoring systems, to support evaluation of effectiveness of the service.
