Summary
What you’ll do:
Operate the University’s telephone switchboard and VOIP system.
Answer incoming calls professionally, provide accurate information, and transfer calls to the right department.
Handle messages, update the switchboard bulletin board, and assist with general admin tasks during quieter periods.
Respond promptly to emergency calls and liaise with relevant teams.
Work closely with IT to keep systems updated and resolve technical issues.
What we’re looking for:
Operate the University’s telephone switchboard and VOIP system.
Experience working on a busy switchboard and handling administration tasks.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and email systems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to manage confidential information.
A proactive team player who can multitask and work independently.
