Summary

The Role and the Department

The Finance Coordinator will work as part of the Financial Planning and Analysis team. They will assist all aspects of financial management, financial performance and control for the professional services departments within the University.

This role includes supporting budget holders through preparing and presenting management information and financial reports, analysis of financial data, preparation of journals, monitoring costs and performing checks to promote the accuracy and completeness of accounting entries in the system. They must be able to work independently, on their own initiative, and liaise confidently with staff throughout the University.

We currently offer hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week to spent in the office.

The base location for this role is Boldon House, our exciting new professional services hub. Boldon House is situated on the outskirts of Durham near the Arnison Centre in Pity Me. Boldon House brings a number of professional services teams together in a vibrant office environment which supports collaborative working and is designed to embrace hybrid working.
