Responsibilities in your new role as Assistant Restaurant Manager
As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring that five-star service standards are upheld at all times. You will coordinate the service flow to provide guests with smooth, efficient, and elegant dining experiences. Your role will include welcoming and engaging with guests, ensuring personalised and attentive service while handling feedback and resolving any issues swiftly and professionally.
A strong presence on the floor during service is crucial as you guide staff and support guest needs. You will also assist in managing reservations, table allocations, and VIP guest arrangements while supervising and motivating the service team to excel in their performance. Moreover, you will participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members, shaping an exemplary service culture.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2–3 years in a supervisory or assistant management role within a luxury hotel or fine-dining environment. You should possess strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, fine dining etiquette, and best practices in guest service. Proven leadership skills are necessary, along with excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. An organised individual who can thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, refined environment is ideal. Familiarity with POS systems, reservations management, and basic financial reporting will also be a strong advantage.
