Summary
GNRC’s Beachstars offers wrap-around childcare to pupils of River Beach Primary School, Littlehampton. We are seeking to recruit to fill the position of Beachstars Manager on a temporary basis from January 2026 for one year, to cover the maternity leave of our manager. This position is term time only, but hours will be available in the school holidays in our Holiday Club. Beachstars operates from 07:20 – 08:50am and 15:00– 18:00pm, Monday to Friday in term time and 8:00 – 6:00 in the holidays. A 22.5 hours-per-week contract is desirable, but we are happy to negotiate a slight reduction for the right candidate.
The main duties include playing with children; taking daily responsibility for the smooth running of the setting; maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, hygiene and well-being for both children and staff; communicating effectively with the school, directors, staff, children and parents; and administration duties such as scheduling, planning, ordering and record-keeping. The manager will also assume the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead, the qualification for which will be supported internally.
The successful candidate will be: energetic and enthusiastic with a professional and engaging manner; an organised team player, able to work seamlessly with GNRC’s Directors and the school; have experience in childcare and/or education with proven skills in engaging and motivating children. Ideally this person will also hold a childcare or education qualification.
The closing date for applications is 5:00pm on Sunday 7th December and interviews will take place on Thursday 11th December. We would encourage potential candidates to email their C.V to admin@gnrc.co.uk.
