Summary
Main duties to include: Phlebotomy/Venepuncture BP monitoring, temperature and pulse recording, urine testing, ECG recording Removal of stitches Simple dressings Visual Acuity Eye irrigation Pregnancy Testing Peak Flows Ring removals Swabs, including wound and MRSA Blood glucose/ketones monitoring Fridge checks Assisting with the ordering of pathology supplies Processing laboratory samples as requested by GP Maintaining and stocking pathology supplies in consulting rooms Maintaining and tidying other areas as identified. Chaperoning duties as required Any other duties as advised by your line manager Other duties Undertake specific clinical activities for a named patient that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual. Participate in audit(s) Maintain accurate records and use of computer templates. Reporting anomalies to senior member of staff and notifying GP/Nurse of any significant patient issues.
