Introduction to the Role Hartshill Health Centre is looking for a motivated and professional GP Receptionist to join our friendly team. As the first point of contact for patients, you will provide a welcoming and efficient service, manage appointments and enquiries, and support the clinical team with essential administrative tasks. About Us Hartshill Health Centre is a growing, forward-thinking practice serving over 8,500 patients. We are based in a modern, multi-use building that also hosts our Primary Care Network (PCN), the Frailty Hub, and South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) services. Our team includes receptionists, secretaries, managers, GPs, ACPs, paramedics, nurses, and more all working collaboratively to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. Main Duties Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner. Manage telephone calls, appointment bookings, and general enquiries promptly and accurately. Process prescription requests and maintain accurate patient records. Distribute information, messages, and enquiries for the clinical team. Liaise with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community services. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with GDPR and practice policies. What Were Looking For Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong IT skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. A positive, team-focused attitude and commitment to patient care. Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service setting is desirable but not essential.
