Clinical Responsibilities Provide comprehensive clinical care for paediatric patients presenting with the full range of respiratory conditions. Undertake consultant-of-the-week duties on a 1:6 rota, providing weekday daytime cover and weekend ward rounds for respiratory inpatients, including those on PICU and PHDU. Due to the presence of a dedicated general paediatric consultant tier at our Childrens Hospital, out-of-hours calls are uncommon. Deliver outpatient clinics in cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis and general paediatric respiratory medicine Interpretation and reporting of sleep studies. Potential to deliver outreach clinics across our network for children with cystic fibrosis care and long-term ventilation requirements. Provide timely specialist advice to other hospitals within the region to support optimal management of children with respiratory needs. Teaching and Training Provide supervision, training and support to resident medical staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring high standards of clinical practice. Leadership and Professional Responsibilities Represent the Division and the Trust at external meetings, conferences and professional forums, as required. Participate actively in departmental meetings, clinical audit, service evaluation, research and quality improvement activities.
