The main focus of the role will be to oversee the new power assisted exercise suite based at YMCA St Annes and lead on the implementation of tailored physical activity programmes and the delivery of group-based activity. Working across Fylde you will also champion the benefits of a healthy lifestyle to community members and partners while ensuring usage data is generated and stored in a professional manner.
The main duties will include:
Undertaking client consultations and identifying appropriate physical activity opportunities
• Delivering Active Wellness sessions
• Providing health assessments to clients on adult referral programmes
• Working with local GP practices/health professionals to promote the active wellness
• Programmes and keep referring partners informed of scheme developments
• Utilising motivational interview techniques to maximise adherence rates
• Exploring innovative, accessible new ways of delivering physical activity opportunities
• Contributing to the production of Key Performance Indicator data through tracking, recording and monitoring client usage
• Representing the wellness team in meetings
• Assisting with the promotion of Fylde Coast YMCA health and physical activity programmes
• Covering shift patterns for leave and sickness as required
You should possess at least two years’ experience of working within the field of health and physical activity. Excellent communication and organisational skills are also required.
