Summary

We are now seeking anexperiencedMedical Staffingpractitioner to join our team tolead and manage the medical staffing and education teamand supportingallaspects of medical staffing including HR and educationwithin the Trust.
We are looking for someone who has aMedical Staffingbackground, particularlyspecialist knowledge and experience of medical workforce terms and conditions, national and local strategies/initiatives, contract negotiations and policies and procedures to expertly manage the medical workforce and education service to the Trust. This includes an underpinning knowledge on key areas such as terms and conditions, job planning, training, rotas, on-call management, revalidation, medical education, study leave,
It is essential that youare able todemonstrateyour experience ofimplementing andadvisingdoctors andmanagers onthe various aspects described above

You will report to theAssociate Director of MedicalDevelopmentand work in partnership with theTrust senior management and leadershipsupporting the delivery ofmedical workforce strategy.
• Provideprofessionalmedical staffingadvice to all levels of managers across the full range of employee relations issues
• Oversight and supervisionthe medical staffing and education team(3 staff).
• Build andmaintaincredible relationships withour resident doctors, consultants andspecialist doctors andService Managersacross the trystensuring complex or sensitive information is communicated in a confident way
• Act as a point of contact for managers and staff seeking advice on various policies, analysing queries to offer solutions
• Advise managers onall aspects ofthe medicalrecruitment processes, rotations,andjob planning.

The “must haves” for this role:
1. Degree or equivalent experience
1. Specialist knowledgeacquiredthrough post graduate short courses,trainingor equivalent experience, in a relevant field
1. Leadership Qualification or equivalent experience
1. Demonstrable experience of working autonomously to deliver high quality and evidence-based medical staffing advice andexpertise.
1. Experience in making complex recruitment processes and ideally the appointment process for Consultant Medical Staffing
1. Experience in rota development, management and pay processes
1. Ability to travel to multiple sites with minimal impact on daily productivity
