Summary
Southwark CAMHS are seeking to recruit a Band 6 CAMHS Duty Clinician with strong clinical skills. This is a substantive, full-time post, based within the Southwark CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Service. Within the Neurodevelopmental Service, you will work alongside the full multi-disciplinary team, to support the service and ensure the delivery of high quality, evidence-based assessment and treatments. You will be responsible forensuring full working hours coverage of all duty queries for NDS which will be through the medium of emails and telephone calls.
If you are:
• registered with the Health & Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist
OR
• have an accredited professional training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, art therapy, or further training in evidence-based psychosocial treatment for children
AND
• have experience of delivering mental health services to children and young people with neurodevelopmental disability in diverse community settings

· To provide a specialist clinical role within the Southwark CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Service(NDS) which is ensuring full working hours coverage of all duty queries for NDS which will be in the form of emails and telephone calls. You will be supported in this role through close working with the Clinical Service Lead, Senior Clinical Psychologist, Senior Systemic Family Therapist, and Consultant Psychiatrist(s).
· Additional tasks to ensuring full working hours coverage of all duty queries for NDS will be to take part in initiatives to help address the significant waiting lists in NDS such as “Keeping In Touch” calls.
· As the Duty clinician in the team, the successful applicant will also be asked to assist in other business critical tasks as they emerge.
· Tocontributetoassuringservicequalitybyemployingspecialistknowledgeandbreadthof understanding of neurodevelopment and mental health theories for children and adolescents.
· To maintain high standards of professional clinical practice when supporting the children and young people under the care of the service. To be a resource to the whole service in maintaining the skills ofothers.
· To contribute to training, research, and audit as well as interpret complex data to develop understanding of self and others in relation to child and adolescent mental health disorders.
