Role: Assistant Team Manager – Children’s Social Work
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Team Manager to provide leadership and operational support within Children’s Social Care. You will oversee casework, supervise social workers, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day management and supervision of social workers within the team.

Support the Team Manager in delivering effective children’s social care services.

Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and risks are managed appropriately.

Oversee complex casework, offering guidance and professional expertise.

Promote partnership working with families, agencies, and community organisations.

Contribute to performance monitoring, quality assurance, and service improvement.

Represent the service at meetings and multi-agency forums as required.

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with current registration.

Significant post-qualified experience in children’s social work.

Proven ability to manage and supervise staff effectively.

Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, guidance, and best practice.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Enhanced DBS required.
