Summary
Are you an experienced FM leader ready to take ownership of a complex, high-profile contract? We\\'re looking for a skilled FM Contract Project Manager to oversee Hard FM services across three educational establishments and a communal facility, ensuring exceptional service standards and full compliance with contractual and statutory obligations.
This is a pivotal role leading the contract through to the PFI handback in March 2028, with responsibility for strategic lifecycle planning, asset stewardship, operational performance and customer excellence. The Role
As the FM Contract Project Manager, you will be accountable for the efficient delivery of Hard FM services, including:
Key ResponsibilitiesHard FM Operations: Deliver and oversee all electrical, mechanical, fabric and building maintenance services, specialist subcontractors, asset condition surveys, lifecycle planning and helpdesk functions.
Team Leadership: Lead, support and motivate contract staff, ensuring strong performance management, development and mentoring across the team.
Project & Lifecycle Management: Plan and deliver Variation and Lifecycle Project Works safely, efficiently and within budget.
Financial Management: Own the project P&L including budgeting, forecasting, cost control and lifecycle expenditure.
Contract Compliance: Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, reporting requirements and record-keeping. Identify and resolve non-conformances to drive continual improvement.
Client Relationship Management: Build strong, positive relationships with clients, stakeholders and on-site teams, ensuring the highest level of customer service.
Subcontractor Oversight: Manage subcontractors through structured performance reviews, ensuring delivery meets contractual, operational and financial expectations.
Health & Safety Leadership: Maintain a safe working environment, carry out risk assessments, oversee investigations, and ensure full statutory compliance.
Quality & Environmental Standards: Ensure all services are delivered in line with quality and environmental policies, addressing any non-conformities promptly.
About You
We\\'re looking for someone with a strong background in FM leadership who can deliver operational excellence while maintaining a proactive approach to customer service and contract performance.
Essential Experience & KnowledgeExtensive FM management experience, ideally 10+ years at senior level
Proven track record managing complex service contracts
Strong people management capabilities with experience leading professional teams
Excellent IT skills, including MS Office
Health & Safety experience and ability to conduct detailed audits and investigations
Solid project management experience
Ability to prepare clear, accurate reports and present complex information
Knowledge of SFG20
Experience of AP and RP structures
PFI experience, particularly in education environments
NEBOSH qualification
BIFM membership/qualification
Fire safety, legionella management or CDM experience
Additional project management qualifications
