We are searching for a Kitchen Porter for Yarnfield Park, part of The Venues Collection.

£12.60 per hour + excellent benefits including healthcare, wellbeing support, 23 days\\' annual leave plus bank holidays, life assurance, meals on duty, and more.

Overall Purpose of the Role To work in the kitchen ensuring the production of high-quality food and following of all legal requirements in line with contractual obligations and company expectations ensuring the delivery of excellent food and following of all health & safety and food safety requirements at all times.

Key Accountabilities

To ensure the kitchen is kept clean – including using equipment as required To ensure equipment is cleaned as required To use pan wash machine To ensure equipment is returned to the correct place once cleaned To prepare vegetables for use by chefs as requested To vacuum pack foods as requested To check off and put away deliveries – ensuring stock rotation To take out food waste, general waste and recyclable waste and ensure it is disposed of in the correct bin To work in a safe manner to ensure safety of yourself and others To communicate effectively with the kitchen to ensure successful service periods To adhere to all training / guidelines given for the following policies and procedures: health & safety, food handling, COSHH, uniform standards, personal protective equipment, manual handling and fire regulations To complete and update all food safety and health & safety paperwork correctly during your shift to ensure full compliance To be responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen during and at the end of your shift, ensuring Health and Safety hazards, issues, near misses and accidents are reported to a senior member of the team at the earliest opportunity To demonstrate a can‐do attitude towards requests and strive to exceed customer expectations To complete all compulsory training as requested by a senior member of the team To follow all company and unit profit protection procedures, reporting any issues to your line manager To assist with stocktaking as requested To ensure all team members are treated with respect To be flexible and comply with any reasonable requests made by your line Manager including if necessary, working within other units within reasonable distance To be able to self-supervise when working alone and to ensure all safety guidelines are upheld A good communicator with the ability to liaise with colleagues An enthusiastic individual with a passion for excellent service delivery Competent in the English language, both written and verbal Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude Integrity – Respects colleagues & customers Health & Safety – Follows the right procedures and challenges unsafe behaviour Can Do – Is flexible and takes initiative Passion – Is positive & proud of doing a great job Responsibility – Takes ownership and doesn’t leave things to others or say ‘it’s not my job’
