A welcoming and values-led primary school in Bristol is seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team from December or January. This role is perfect for a teacher who brings confidence, structure and unwavering care to their classroom — someone who can guide pupils through a vital year of preparation, growth and maturity.
About the School:
This school is known for its strong sense of community, inclusive ethos, and forward-thinking approach to supporting every child. Staff work closely as a team, communication is open and supportive, and pupils are encouraged to develop resilience, independence and pride in their learning.
The school places real value on pastoral care and forming strong relationships, which is especially important in Year 6. You’ll join a setting where creative teaching is encouraged, wellbeing is prioritised, and teachers are trusted to make decisions that shape meaningful learning.
Your Role:
As the full-time Year 6 Teacher, you will:
• Lead a lively and enthusiastic Year 6 class through SATs preparation and wider curriculum learning
• Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that promote both progress and confidence
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attitude and outcomes
• Build strong, respectful relationships with pupils, parents and staff
• Foster independence, resilience and a positive learning culture
• Contribute to a collaborative KS2 team who share planning, ideas and best practice
What We’re Looking For:
• QTS / PGCE with strong Upper KS2 experience
• Confident understanding of SATs expectations
• Excellent behaviour management and a calm, consistent teaching style
• Someone warm, approachable and committed to supporting the whole child
• A reflective practitioner who works well as part of a team
• Enthusiasm, resilience and the ability to hit the ground running
In return for the above you can expect to receive:

• Guaranteed Payment Scheme *Terms and Conditions apply*
