A well-established and growing precision engineering firm is seeking a Production Engineer - Team Lead to join their dynamic fabrication team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end project delivery, from design through to production, in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Your new role

As Production Engineer - Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing fabrication projects, managing materials and schedules, and liaising directly with customers. You'll play a key role in product design, 3D modelling, and production coordination, ensuring high-quality outcomes and continuous improvement across operations. Key responsibilities include managing material ordering, tracking, and inventory, acting as the primary point of contact for customers, interpreting specifications and providing technical guidance. Leading product design and development initiatives and creating and validating 3D models using CAD software. Developing and managing production schedules and troubleshooting issues and driving process improvements

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you'll have a strong background in fabrication engineering and proven experience with CAD and 3D modelling tools. You'll be confident managing customer relationships, production timelines, and technical challenges. Essential skills and experience should include previous experience in a fabrication environment. Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software and strong understanding of welding, machining, and assembly processes. Experience in material sourcing and inventory control and excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications and have a detail-oriented and collaborative approach.
