About the Role

We are currently supporting a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Long Eaton that is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school is known for its strong sense of community, supportive staff and positive, pupil-centred approach.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people achieve their best. You'll provide essential support to students with additional needs, both on a 1-1 and small group basis across a range of subjects.

This is a full-time, long-term position starting ASAP, with a quick and clear pathway to a permanent role for the right candidate.

What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting students with additional or SEN needs to access their learning
- Providing focused 1:1 and small-group support across various subjects
- Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and adapting tasks where required
- Encouraging students to stay engaged, motivated and confident
- Using positive behaviour strategies to promote progress and independence
- Helping maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment

What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- A patient, adaptable and encouraging approach to support learning
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply with our support)
