Job Advert
As part of our busy Contract Packing operation the Contract Packing Manager will be responsible for managing the department,
ensuring our customers receive a first-class service through timely receiving and processing of goods. Responsible for all aspects
of people management including coaching, training, motivating staff to deliver maximum productivity with a clear focus on health
& safety, quality, efficiency and profitability.

Day to Day
* Ensure that the operation complies with all legislative and ethical standards with regards to safety, hygiene, quality and
staff management & welfare.
* Responsible for leading, motivating and organising the contract packing department, ensuring daily targets are achieved and
customer orders are produced on time in full to the highest quality standards.
* Ownership of department budget, driving performance and ensuring delivery within or exceeding budgetary targets.
* Promotion of the effective cross functional team working between manufacturing, commercial and support functions.
* Proactively shape and manage the structure, culture, and behavioural values to ensure the department is well placed to respond
to current, and future, market demands and technical opportunities.
* Understand, challenge and seek to improve industry “best practice” to drive continuous improvement philosophy within the
department.
* Support a culture that enhances safety and behavioural awareness to reduce accidents and increase near miss reporting.
* Perform management audits and inspections to ensure safety, quality, environment, hygiene and engineering standards are adhered
to.
* Accountable for departments' performance – safety, quality, customer service, stock management, delivery on time in full and
budgetary aspects.
* Control of direct costs and overhead expenditure in line with agreed budgetary targets.
* Support recruitment, training and development of team members, manage employee life cycle through regular review meetings, and
support any ER cases where appropriate.
* Drive continuous improvement through the integration of support functions into the Contract Packing facility, develop and drive
KPI’s and progress continuous improvement plans in line with company goals.
What will you bring?
* Proven experience in a Production Manager role – co-packing or food environment would be advantageous.
* Strong knowledge on health and safety procedures and quality management systems.
* Excellent communication, motivational and leadership skills – able to motivate and drive performance.
* Experience managing departmental budgets.
* Proven track record of delivering continuous improvement &efficiencies.
* Advanced knowledge of Excel and SAP.
