We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and aspiring leader with a passion for SEND and inclusion to join our team as an Assistant Headteacher.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to join as a member of our Senior Leadership Team. The role will include being our school SENDCo and will be mostly non-teaching due to the importance of this role and the complexity of need within our school.
This will be a new leadership structure for us; our Leadership Team will comprise of our Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, two Assistant Headteachers and three Phase Leaders. This will build our capacity for school improvement and offers an important opportunity for us to further develop adaptive teaching across the school. We have a large and committed team of staff, including skilled medical and pastoral teams. We also have a successful SEND base as part of our provision, led by two teachers and five TAs, which enhances our SEND offer and supports many children across school.
The ideal candidate will:
-Builds strong, nurturing relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Be an excellent classroom teacher, who has taught in a range of year groups
- Have a secure understanding of the curriculum, assessment and effective teaching and learning strategies to use across the entire primary age range
- Be a middle leader with experience of successfully implementing change within a school
- Be an experienced SENDCo who is keen to support with children and families with a wide range of needs
- Have successful experience of working with a range of professionals and the Local Authority to ensure provision is successful for children with SEND
- Have some experience of line managing staff
- Have experience in delivering training to staff teams
