Rate: £16.26 per hour PAYE (higher rates for Saturdays, Bank Holidays, and overtime)
Start Date: December
End Date: Approx 3 months
The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Advisor to provide and coordinate support for care leavers (relevant and former relevant). The role supports young people to transition successfully into adulthood and achieve the goals outlined in their pathway plan. You will deliver practical advice, design interventions, and ensure access to services while maintaining high standards of safeguarding, record-keeping, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide advice and practical support to care leavers
Participate in the assessment, preparation, and review of pathway plans
Design and deliver interventions for young people leaving care
Co-ordinate service provision to ensure care leavers make use of available support
Monitor progress and well-being of care leavers
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in line with Directorate Recording Policy
Challenge discriminatory behaviour and report concerns appropriately
Report any signs of neglect, injury, or safety concerns immediately to the Team Manager
Candidate Requirements:
Level 3 qualification (A Levels, HNCB, or NVQ 3)
Full UK driving licence essential
Experience working with young people leaving care or vulnerable populations
Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently, manage a mobile workload, and travel county-wide
