SRG are working with a leading, family-owned manufacturer of janitorial, hygiene, laundry, and home care cleaning products based in Derbyshire. This company fosters a supportive, collaborative culture and truly lives by its values, investing in both its team and the people it welcomes. They are now seeking an experienced Formulation Chemist to join the team. You will play a key role in developing, formulating and improving a wide range of cleaning products, leading product development projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing technical support to both internal teams and customers. This opportunity is ideal for someone with 2-3 years' experience in formulating and developing janitorial, hygiene, laundry, and home care cleaning products.

Working Hours: Monday -Friday, 39 hours per week, 20 days holiday + 8 Bank Holiday, Xmas shut down from 24th December to the 2nd January. Flexible start and finish times available

Role / Description


  • Drive innovation by developing and testing new cleaning product formulations across Industrial, institutional and laundry cleaning products.

  • Lead projects from concept to launch, ensuring products meet high standards.

  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and sales teams for seamless product delivery.

  • Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.

  • Source and assess raw materials, staying updated on industry trends.

  • Maintaining manual, semi-automatic and analytical laboratory equipment

  • Support regulatory compliance and product quality investigations.


Requirements


  • Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or related Scientific discipline.

  • Proven industrial experience formulating and developing HI&I Chemicals

  • Personal attributes - adaptable, proactive, attention to detail, communication, can work well in a team and is solution-focused.
